American Ale
What You Need To Know
American Ale is a very broad if not wholly ambiguous style definition that would likely not be in existence if not for the brewpub boom of the late 1980s and early 1990s. They are typically medium bodied with an amber color and moderate hop impression. American Ales are going to be lighter, in every way, than the respective brewery’s Pale Ale or Bitter.
